Hello longfic writer!

I'm super excited to read what you write!

As far as general content goes I'm pretty easygoing and would prefer for you to write something you're enthusiastic about rather than strictly adhere to one of my prompts if you find it limiting. They're more of a guideline for you to get a sense of the kind of content/mood I'm into for each particular request. I can handle pretty much anything on the sliding scale of light to dark as long as it fits the canon's tone. I enjoy less traditional storytelling methods too, if that's your thing. (are you inspired to write epistolary fic? Do you want to write in some kind of non-chronological format? go for it!) All I ask is that you avoid my do not want section.

What I really like (in general):
Hurt/comfort, emotional tension (resolved or otherwise), unresolved sexual tension (also resolved or otherwise), smut in general, fun dialogue, companionable snark, found families, competence porn, allusions to mythology or fairy tales, earned happy endings, grouchy or straightup mean characters having a soft side, nice or kind characters having moments of weakness/cruelty, inter-generational family drama, characters figuring each other out, angst, mysteries and a sense of ambiguity, exploration of trauma, relationships that are complex but still full of trust/loyalty, characters having a sense of humor about sex.

DNW:
Please completely avoid deaths of pets (especially dogs). Also, please no: bathroom and vomit play, issue fic, daddy kink, omegaverse, or torture porn (some of these canons take place during pretty brutal times so I'm fine with a certain amount of suffering... I just don't want 5,000 words solely about a character being tortured.) Full on non-con is a DNW, but emotionally messy dubcon is fine for some of these canons. (See the fandom DNWs for more.)

Fandom requests:

Ancient Greek Religion & Lore
Group: Helen/Hector

Ahhh I saw this pairing in the tag set and realized I really wanted something that explores the pressure cooker situation of Troy being under siege via this pairing!

Some prompts:
-Canon divergence AU where Hector is somehow still alive after Paris dies. Helenus and Deiphobus still put in bids to marry Helen, but Hector ends up claiming her as his wife in order to protect her. Hector is still married to Andromache in this version, and he and Helen both claim to each other (and to Andromache) that this will be a strictly platonic relationship. However UST ensues, and they either act on it or don't as per your preference!
-Canon set fic where Aphrodite is so angry that Helen no longer loves Paris that she has Eros fill Helen and Hector with so much lust for each other that they have to act on it (thereby messing with this relationship that Helen truly values). Basically gods-mandated sex pollen. I just am really curious about this because of all the horror Helen seems to feel in the Iliad regarding her feelings for Paris. Horror/reverence intertwined is just a theme I'm really interested in and would love to see explored more!
-Canon set in the versions of canon where real Helen is actually in Egypt during the war. The fake Helen loves Hector but not Paris. How does this effect things?
-Canon diverge AU where Helen was married off to Hector when she was choosing between suitors. Does Agamemnon still find a loophole to go to war? How does that change things?

Fandom specific DNW: Andromache bashing (I actually ship Hector/Andromache a lot). If she appears in the fic it's totally fine for her to be jealous or angry, but just don't make her a one-dimensional bad spouse where of course Helen deserves Hector more, you know what I mean? Basically the more complicated and sympathetic the three are the better! Likewise I don't want fully evil or petty and shallow Helen, or one-dimensional good or evil Hector.

Also full on noncon is a DNW for this fandom (i.e. Hector raping Helen to punish her for tempting him or something) but as you can probably tell from the prompts, dubcon where the gods make them do it essentially is fine.

Tales of Symphonia
Group: Lloyd Irving/Zelos Wilder

Ahhh the OTP I've had for well over a decade now! I always find myself wanting fic for them in the spring. Not sure why.

Some prompts:
-Slowburn, slice of life, getting together as they travel the world post-canon, helping all the various cities and towns adjust to this sudden dramatic change with the two worlds being reunited. Both of them dealing together with their various traumas.
-Post-canon, various powerful people want some kind of marriage to occur that will symbolize the two worlds coming together. At first Zelos/Colette seems like the obvious choice (the two Chosens, after all!), but Lloyd offers to marry Zelos instead. Cue UST and both of them being unsure how much the other one really wants to be married, and it briefly messing with all the closeness/intimacy they developed during canon (especially for Zelos who has good reason to hate politically-arranged marriage.) But then they figure shit out and admit feelings.
-An AU where Zelos was from the world in decline and not Colette. Or maybe Colette did sacrifice herself ;_; and Tethe'alla promptly went into decline. How does that impact Zelos and Lloyd?
-Worldbuilding in general is very welcome for this prompt! I've always been interested in the system of the Chosen, as well as how different all the cities seemed from each other. Anything that leans into this is super welcome!

Fandom specific DNW: Colette-bashing ... or any bashing of the playable characters, really. They're all dear to me. Tales of Symphonia 2 (Feel free to go your own direction with how you think things go after canon.) Also a great deal of emphasis on Kratos & Lloyd (or Kratos/Anna.) Definitely feel free to have Lloyd think about him and miss him (if set after canon), or have scenes with him but I feel like I got enough of that dynamic already from other fanworks and would like to see some other takes.

魔道祖师 - 墨香铜臭 | Módào Zǔshī - Mòxiāng Tóngxiù
Group: Wen Ning & Lan Sizhui (Modao Zushi)

GOD these two recognizing each other kills me every time. Feel free to work in anything from any adaptation (or to just stick within the parameters of the book! I'm open to all! save for the DNW.)

-Honestly I'm just so weak for these two traveling together post-canon. I'd welcome anything that focuses on that, via them getting to know each other again as they travel or as they make a cenotaph together or as they help people exorcise some ghosts.
-Worldbuilding is so, so welcome for this request you have no idea. I'm intrigued by Wen Ning belonging to a branch of the Wen sect that deals with medicine, of course. And I really, really love anything to do with using the guqin to figure out the identities of ghosts! I'll be super happy if you focus on either thing (especially the guqin!)
-Sooo I really do love Lan Sizhui being adopted by Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian. I love how they made that small bit of happiness out of a truly dreadful situation. And yet I'm so curious about how Lan Sizhui feels when he realizes that a lot of the people he loves in Gusu Lan (and in other sects too) would have killed him if he'd been a few years older. Or that his birth sect and adopted sect both engaged in horrible war crimes again each other (with his adopted sect having helped wipe out his branch of the Wen sect.) I really don't want him to decide he hates Lan Wangji or Lan Xichen or anything, but I'd love to see anything that shows him wrestling with this realization and Wen Ning helping him come to terms. Does he feel this belated awful grief he feels like he can't share with Lan Wangji? Or does he know it happened, intellectually, but he can't seem to summon up emotion about it and that bothers him too? I'd love to see any take on this.

Fandom specific DNW: Shifting wwx's crimes to other people.

Original Work
Group: Fake Psychic Helping Cops Solve Crime & By-The-Book Detective Hiding Real Psychic Powers

This made me laugh when I saw it in the tag set. I love the idea of this scenario so much! I don't have any particular prompts for this, but I'd love any take on this scenario really.
-What kind of psychic powers do they have/claim to have? Disruptive, tarot, scrying?
-Do they have a system going where the real psychic gives information to the fake psychic? Is this because they don't agree on much but do agree that they want justice to be done.
-Or is the real psychic trying to hide their skills from everyone because they've made a big deal about how psychic's aren't real!! ... only to find out they're actually psychic themselves?
-This lends itself so well to a case fic where we can see how this particular dynamic works. I welcome any tone, from horror to humor (or even both??? Both is good!)
-It would also be funny to see this as a slice of life thing. Maybe they don't even work on the kinds of crimes that make new (i.e. murder.) Maybe it's an American Vandal kind of situation where they're assigned to figure out who's behind a bunch of dumb graffiti by bored students at a local school.

(asking for a friend who's writing a treat, since you don't allow anon commenting):

How do you feel about first-person POV?

Just reply here, they'll be sure to get it.

Thanks for the speedy reply!

(Some people really HATE anything but 3rd, so even though you hadn't listed 1st as a DNW, it seemed best to ask.)

lol, one final question, as I have a panicked writer: Are you okay with age difference if there is no sexual content, and no "romantic" content other than a one-sided, half-serious crush by the younger character on the older character if the older character is bemused and simply waves it off?

Or is that too close to your daddy kink DNW?

I am told to assure you that the word doesn't appear even ONCE. :p

But of course! To write something as a gift, but to not take care that it's something the person wouldn't be distressed by -- most people wouldn't want to do that!
